Events

Due to COVID-19 we have had to cancel ALL events for 2020. Which leaves us without the much needed funding for the rest of the year.
As you probably know, we receive a subsidy from the Department of Social Development to keep the safe house running, this unfortunetly only works out to R9 per day for a women in the safe house which is not enough. With donations running dry due to the virus we have found ourselves needing more help than ever before.
The safe house is registers to provide inpatient services to 17 individuals (woman and children), and with all costs involved (housing, food, electricity, medications, therapy etc) it costs around R270 per day to look after a women or child. In addition to in patient services we provide food parcels to 5 survivors of violence that have been reunited with family.
Functions and events, like the golf day, were our main source of income for 2019 and now that we are unable to do this we are asking for your help.
